Steve Nash is expected to be out a week as he nurses a fracture to his left fibula. The Lakers, intent they aren’t pressing the panic button on their slow start, will take a conservative approach with Nash’s injury.

Lakers coach Mike Brown said Sunday he does not plan to bring Nash back before he has fully healed.

“You obviously hope he’s back as soon as possible,” Brown said Sunday. “But the one thing you don’t want to do, you don’t want to compromise his long-term health for him coming back quicker than he should. So, (trainer) Gary Vitti and the staff are on top of it. We’ll just wait and play it out from there.”
