Baron Davis Not Calling It Quits

Although suffering complete tears of two ligaments in his right knee and a partially torn tendon while playing for the Knicks in the May 6 playoff game against the Heat, 33-year- old Baron Davis said he plans to return to the NBA. Davis will most likely miss all of the 2012-2013 season, as the typical recovery time for his injury is about 12 months.

Dealing with many injuries the past few years, Davis is not the same guard he was back when he led the Golden State Warriors to a playoff birth back in the 2007 NBA playoffs. Last year with the Knicks, he averaged about 21 minutes in 29 games played. In that time he averaged about 6 points and almost 5 assists a game.

Despite his injury and lack of productivity the past few years, the 33-year-old veteran is planning a comeback, and hopes to still contribute to a team.
