A tweet by Alex Kennedy said, “The Brooklyn Nets are trying to acquire a first-round pick, according to league sources.” After trading away their 2012 first-round pick to the Blazers for forward, Gerald Wallace, the Nets suffered not having a lottery pick this year.
Their pick, which the Portland Trailblazers have acquired, is the sixth pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Unluckily for Brooklyn, Gerald Wallace has decided to opt-out of his contract. After that news broke out, the Nets are now trying to obtain a pick, which would be of big help for the new, upcoming team, as they lose a good forward. The question is, who would they try and trade for a first-round pick?
