Celtics trying to sign-&-trade for O.J. Mayo & Courtney Lee
Although the Celtics recently signed Jason Terry, they are still in need of another shooting guard, due to Ray Allen’s departure. According to Sam Amico via Twitter, the Boston Celtics are trying to land either O.J. Mayo or Courtney Lee via sign-and-trade.
O.J. Mayo has spent his 4 seasons in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies. As a rookie, he averaged over 18 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, he hasn’t shown much of an improvement ever since.
Courtney Lee, an underrated scorer, averaged 11 points per game for the Houston Rockets last season. He is still young and has room to improve. He has shot around 40% from behind the three-point line throughout his 4 seasons in the NBA.
Stay tuned for more updates.
