Rose Signs $250 Million Deal With Adidas
It appears that Derrick Rose has locked up a shoe deal for the rest of his career. Earlier today it was revealed that Adidas and the Chicago Bulls point guard had agreed on a 14-year deal worth $250 million
Rose, when asked about the new deal said the following, “It’s a blessing, man… Definitely a blessing. They’ve been with me, they stuck with me from the beginning and I’m happy that I’m a part of them for the rest of my life… It’s great, man… We’ve been trying to get it out of the way for a long time. I just remember them bringing it up to me and I couldn’t really think about the amount. I’m just blessed and feel grateful right now… They’ve been doing everything promotional-wise to make sure that they put me out there… They’re marketing me great all over the world. And that’s all I need from them.”
The Bulls (27-8) are just a half game back from Miami for the top seed in the East at the All-Star break. Rose, the reigning MVP, is the leading assist man on the NBA’s best passing team in the league. Through 25 games and a series of injuries, Rose has managed to average 21.8 points, 7.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds in just over 35 minutes per game this season.
