Kevin Garnett to Remain with Boston Celtics
The news is Kevin Garnett will be coming back to play for his 18th NBA season with the Boston Celtics. After the Boston Celtics were eliminated from the playoffs by the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, the veteran forward was considering retirement.
The season was rough because it was condensed, due to the lockout. Garnett did, however, grind out the season and he was surely prepared for the playoffs. Kevin Garnett had a great playoff campaign with the Celtics. He was playing like his old self again. After pondering retirement, he decided to keep going while his motors are still oiled and running.
Garnett is reportedly likely to re-sign a three year, $34 million deal with the Celtics. The two years are supposedly for sure, while the third year is a player’s option.
