Kevin Love’s broken hand is worse than had first been reported — he needs surgery and will be out eight to 10 weeks, tweets Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.

Love missed the start of the season recovering from a broken hand he suffered doing knuckle pushups at home. He returned averaging 18.3 points and 14 rebounds a game, but the hand injury clearly still bothered him as he shot just 35.2 percent.
