The Times’ Mike Bresnahan reports that the Lakers were close to a deal to acquire Cleveland guard Ramon Sessions, but didn’t want to give up the first-round draft pick they acquired from the Dallas Mavericks in the Lamar Odom trade. Bresnahan also notes that the Andrew Bynum-for-Dwight Howardtrade possibility has cooled.
