Magic Sign-&-Trade Ryan Anderson To The Hornets
The New Orleans Hornets have acquired another piece of their 2012-2013 frontcourt, and the Orlando Magic continue to clean house. In a surprising move, the Hornets will add Magic power forward Ryan Anderson via a sign-and-trade with the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein on Twitter.
The move will add Anderson to a forward corps that includes 2012 #1 pick Anthony Davis, but few other notable names. Anderson was expected to stay with the Magic after averaging career-highs in every major statistical category – a jump that netted Anderson the NBA’s “Most Improved Player” award at the end of the season.Anderson shot 44% from the field, including a 39% mark from 3-point range, in addition to 7.7 rebounds per game.
