Magic want “consecutive lottery picks” for Dwight Howard

Orlando Magic GM Rob Hennigan mentioned Saturday that he mainly wants consecutive lottery picks for Dwight Howard and will not accept “cagey veterans” that will give the Magic the 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs year by year.
(According to Alex Kennedy of hoopsworld.com)
Hennigan wants a stockpile of young talent that will build and eventually hope they become superstars in the near future. Hennigan also mentioned he wants to almost copy what Oklahoma City has done with their franchise with building through the draft.
However, the Lakers are now the front runners to land Dwight Howard in a three team tradeĀ involving the L.A Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and of course, the Orlando Magic.
Only time will tell when the deal gets done. The Lakers clearly don’t have what Rob Hennigan is looking for and might just lean to the Rocket’s trade proposal.
