Nuggets & Lakers May Miss Game Due To Weather

With the flurry of snowstorms going on in the middle of the country, over 180 flights at Denver International Airport have been canceled, and it appears as though the Nuggets could wind up missing their home game tonight due to the weather.
The Nuggets (15-7) are scheduled to host the Los Angeles Lakers (13-9) Friday at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets, who are coming off a win in Los Angeles against the Clippers, have yet to arrive in Denver where the Lakers have already arrived.
According to the Denver Post, the blizzard could last until Saturday and schools all across Colorado have been closed down. “The Colorado Department of Transportation is telling people to stay home until the storm passes and let plows do their work, as up to 22 inches of snow are expected in the Denver metro area and more than 2 feet on the Eastern Plains, potentially whipped into a blizzard by 40-mph wind gusts Friday.”
The game, if played, will be the 3rd meeting between the teams this year. The Nuggets and Lakers have split the series thus far, with each team winning at home. The 4th and final meeting is scheduled April 13th in Los Angeles.
