Rumors of the Suns 37 year old point guard, Steve Nash, have been swirling that he could possibly be traded as he enters the final year of his contract. In the past the organization has publicly supported Steve Nash and stated that he won’t be dealt unless he asks for a trade himself. In a report by J.A. Adande of ESPN.com, Steve Nash once again states that he is committed to the Phoenix Suns.
“I’m not oblivious to [the chance of] playing on a contender,” Nash said. “But at the same time, especially in the position I’m in right now, I feel a sense of loyalty to my team. To go and ask for a trade, it’s not like I’m going to say, ‘Trade me to…’”
Nash is averaging 14.5 points per game on a remarkable 55.1% shooting percentage along 10.9 assists. The Phoenix Suns are currently 12-19 on the season and sit at 13th place in the Western Conference.
