According to Mitch Lawrence from New York Daily News, the Boston Celtics are trying to land Josh Smith. Danny Ainge is apparently ready to rebuild Boston’s roster, and is willing to give up Kevin Garnett for Atlanta’s 26-year-old Josh Smith.

Garnett comes with a $21 million expiring contract, while Josh Smith is signed throughout the 2012/13 season, for $13 million.

There have been numerous reports about the Celtics shopping their big 3 around the trade market, but as of right now, this story is just one of many rumors. Fortunately, the New York Daily News is a very reliable source.
