Rockets In The Lead To Land Chris Kaman
Sam Amick of SI.com reports that the Houston Rockets have emerged as the frontrunner to land disgruntled New Orleans Hornets’ center Chris Kaman.
As of right now the pieces that have been discussed to possibly be apart of the deal are Hasheem Thabeet, the 7’3 center taken 2nd overall by the Grizzlies in the 2009 NBA Draft, and forward Jordan Hill, who was taken 7th overall by the New York Knicks in the 2009 NBA Draft. Both Hill and Thabeet have had their team options declined for next season.
Chris Kaman is averaging 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game for the New Orleans Hornets this season. Kaman hasn’t stepped on the court in the last 4 Hornets game.
